Len too tired for Dancing

The remaining contestants on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing may well have breathed a sigh of relief this morning: Judge Len Goodman has been forced to take a two-week break from the show due to exhaustion.

Len, a sprightly 64-year-old, flies off to LA every Sunday morning with co-judge Bruno Tonioli to film US show Dancing with the Stars – and if a knackering 11-hour flight across the Atlantic wasn’t bad enough, imagine doing it sat next to Bruno.

The ballroom expert only recently admitted that he was struggling with appearing on both shows, saying: “I wasn’t going to do it this year but I got talked into it. This will probably be the last time. My heart wants to do the British show, but my head – the money – makes me want to do the US one.”

Len makes a whopping £250,000 for his appearances on the US show, compared to a measly £90,000 from the BBC for Strictly.

Will Len let his heart rule his head? Only time will tell.
